What did you think of the hospital and staff?  I thought they were wonderful.  The staff was very caring and sensitive to our needs.  In fact, as a result of our stay there, I went to nursing school exactly 1 year after his surgery.  I wanted to help others in the same way that they had helped us.

What did you think of the surgeon? I was very impressed.  He was down to earth, caring, meticulous, and thorough.  He answered my questions before I could even ask them.  He explained the problems, complete with pictures, in a way that I could understand them (At that time I had no medical background)

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? Yes, I most definitely would.  We have since moved to AZ but I would still return to Cincinnati if he ever needed more surgery.

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? You can't go wrong.  I highly recommend both.  The hospital does have parent facilities on a first come, first serve basis, but I would highly recommend the Ronald McDonald house.  You need to take care of yourself and take a break from the hospital.

Do you have any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? I would highly recommend it. From the people I've talked to it's gotten high marks from both medical personnel and families. I can't really testify to anything but the cardiac unit.
