Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon?Ask your insurance company to rate any hospital you go to. Ours called to tell us that based on the statistical research they had, this hospital was the one they would have chosen for our child or any child that was planning to have this specific surgery.
They also have a great house called the Devon Nicole House. It is like a Ronald McDonald House and only about 4 blocks from the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House there only accepts cancer patients.
I also liked the fact that they had very few limitations as to when you could stay with your child in CICU. We could be there any time they weren't having a shift change unless there were problems with a patient nearby. They also had special rooms for parents to sleep while their child was in CICU.
