What CHD does/did your child have? :: L-TGA, PS, LPA Stenosis, Ventricular Inversion, Interrupted IVC, Dextrocardia, Heterotaxy Syndrome

Where was your child's surgery done? :: Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston Hospital

What did you think of the hospital and staff? :: Wonderful staff, very caring and attentive. The Hospital has great facilities and resources for parents and siblings of the heart child also. Also good security measures to really keep the children safe.

What did you think of the surgeon? :: He is very nice, kind of quiet/reserved personality, but will answer any questions you have honestly.

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? :: Yes, our next surgery will be between Nov. 06-April 07

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? :: great facility/surgical team at the Sibley Heart Center. Wonderful nurses in both the CICU and in the cardiac step-down unit. Good size rooms with sleep chairs/sofas, both my husband and I each had a place to sleep in our child's room so we were both able to stay with him.

What CHD does/did your child have? Coarctation of Aorta, Bicuspid Aortic Valve, Mitral Valve Stenosis

Where was your child's surgery done? Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? Absolutely (but we hope we don't have to!)

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? They are rated in the top 5 in the USA so I don't need to say anymore

What was done to correct this CHD? Norwood on April 21, 2003 and the Glenn on July 30, 2003. The Fontan is planned for Spring 2005

The entire hospital and its staff are amazing. Everyone (Volunteers, nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, administrative employees, patient care techs.......... EVERYONE) is friendly, helpful, compassionate, and dedicated to the well being of your child.

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? I will always take my child back to CHOA. We still go back just to visit. We also still have one more scheduled surgery

What CHD does/did your child have? Coarctation of the aorta, a small aortic arch, and 2 VSDs

What was done to correct this CHD? Correction of the coarctation

What did you think of the hospital and staff?
Perfect...the hospital was clean and well organized, very kid friendly. Every single staff member was kind and went out of their way to be of assistance.

What did you think of the surgeon? Professional, friendly, and blessed

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? Definitly

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? Ask as many questions as you can.
They will answer them or help you find the answers.

What did you think of the hospital and staff? :: The hospital and staff were wonderful. They gave us support during the most difficult time of our lives while taking extraordinary care of our little girl.

What did you think of the surgeon? :: He's the greatest! He's God's miracle worker in our eyes. Without him(and of course God), Katie would not be here.

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? :: YES! She also had her 2nd surgery there in Aug. 2006

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? :: This is a wonderful place to take your child if they need specialized heart care. The nurses are great. The doctors are amazing. I highly recommend this hospital.
