What CHD does/did your child have? Tetralogy of Fallot

What was done to correct this CHD? full repair, stints for artery.

Where was your child's surgery done? Children's Hospital in Washington, DC

Who did the surgery? I can not remember...His Doc is Dr. Ruckman

When was the surgery done?1996

What did you think of the hospital and staff? They were truly wonderful.

What did you think of the surgeon? He flew in because there was a blizzard and we were stuck in the hospital. He flew in and he ran to my son and he said,” Today you will be all better baby.” He was wonderful. Angel!

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? Most definitely

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? Get there. See Dr. Ruckman. He is a God send.

Where was your child's surgery done? :: National Children's Hospital in Washington D.C.

Who did the surgery? :: Dr. Richard Jonas

When was the surgery done? :: Jun 21 2006

What did you think of the hospital and staff? :: I love the ICU units, we were in both the cicu and picu. Our social worker was wonderful, she did anything she could to help. Everyone was very nice.

What did you think of the surgeon? :: Dr. Jonas was great. He explained everything very well and answered all of our questions straight forward. He did "beat around the bush". He is an awesome surgeon.

Would you take your child back to this facility/surgeon? :: I would go to whichever facility he is a surgeon at if we were to ever need him again

Any advice for others looking at this facility/surgeon? :: contact everyone you can (social workers, concierges, doctor) they can help you with arrangements, and finances
